The duo has played together for RCB for a long time now and form a potent batting partnership at the top of the order. They together hold the record for the highest partnership in IPL history (229), and apart from these two there is Brendon McCullum in RCB squad and the trio of these three batsmen makes one of the strongest batting order for any team.

While Mumbai Indians have a lot of high profile pacers in the line-up, Mumbai lack serious firepower when it comes to the spin department. They have a lot of young players in their squad like Anukul Roy, Akila Dananjaya and Mayank Markande who are still untested in the league, while Rahul Chahar has some experience of playing in IPL but he too lacks in multiple departments.
