MI vs RCB | Pre Match stats & Predictions

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are all set for Today's IPL Match and the Match is At Wankhede Stadium. The fans of Mumbai Indians are super-excited as they are hoping that this match will be a turning point for Mumbai Indians as they have not won a single match out of 3 matches in this IPL tournament.

Team RCB has also pulled their socks up for Today's match as they have also lost their last match again RR and their Previous Performance in this IPL Tournament has not been much impressive as they have won only one match out of the three matches in this tournament.

Expectations

Fans of both these Teams are super-excited for Today's Match as these both Teams are one of the strongest Teams in the Tournament and In this IPL Auction, both these Teams had acquired some of the great players.

RCB fans have many expectations because during the beginning of the tournament their skipper Virat Kohli gave a statement that "this season of IPL is for RCB and we will make every possible effort to make RCB win the tournament".

MI fans are super excited as Mumbai Indians is one of the most successful teams in the IPL tournament and in this season they have not impressed the audience much and Today Mumbai Indians will do everything possible to make a comeback in this IPL Tournament.

Strengths

The reason why Mumbai has been the most successful team in the past is that they have somehow managed to keep their core intact year after year and the strategy has yielded three titles in ten seasons. This time as well, Mumbai played their cards well and they have retained experienced players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Pandya brothers, Keiron Pollard and Saurabh Tiwary.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli and his friend AB de Villiers are deadliest batsmen in IPL tournament. The duo has played together for RCB for a long time now and form a potent batting partnership at the top of the order. Both the players have the ability to change the game in a matter of a few overs, and the team will rely heavily on them if they want to do well in the tournament. They together hold the record for the highest partnership in IPL history (229), and apart from these two there is Brendon McCullum in RCB squad and the trio of these three batsmen makes one of the strongest batting order for any team.

Weaknesses

While Mumbai Indians have a lot of high profile pacers in the line-up, Mumbai lack serious firepower when it comes to the spin department. They have a lot of young players in their squad like Anukul Roy, Akila Dananjaya and Mayank Markande who are still untested in the league, while Rahul Chahar has some experience of playing in IPL but he too lacks in multiple departments. One won't be surprised if Rohit Sharma has turned to Krunal Pandya for some quality left-arm spin bowling in place of the aforementioned four.Although Mayank Markande has Performed well in some matches still the team cannot rely fully on him.Apart from spinning the MI team lacks an active wicket-keeper in their squad which is one of the biggest weakness for the team.

The RCB team looks pretty good to everyone as they have great players in their squad but RCB can be highly inconsistent. Last season is the example of that- where they finished eighth after being the runners-up in the 2016 edition. If one looks at the tournament history, RCB has done well every alternate year in the tournament, which can't be a mere coincidence. This unwanted inconsistency might be of low significance to the RCB fans.but, we all know that cricket is a game of inconsistency so nobody knows what will happen next.

Final Prediction
At this point of time, where Mumbai Indians have not won a single match and have a weaker team as compared to that of RCB my prediction still goes to Mumbai Indians for today's MI vs RCB and as per my research and analysis of both the teams, I strongly believe that Mumbai Indians is going to win today's match and it will be one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament till date.
